NEW FIRM WITH PURPOSE

As the lights turned on, so did a new way of doing business. Purpose Law, the creation of industry veteran Geoff Donovan and newcomer Demetrio Zema, promises a different approach to the traditional law firm model.

“Over the past 35 years I have listened clients calling out for a better law firm experience, now I have responded,” says Donovan.

“Purpose Law is about achieving economic and social value, through a shared purpose. We collaborate with our clients, not compete.”

With ‘innovation’ being the latest buzzword throughout the legal industry, Purpose Law seems to have achieved it. Without the marble foyer and excessive reams of paper, they promise a better law firm experience through gaining a deep understanding of their clients businesses, and the industries in which they operate.

“Geoff and I share a genuine social conscious, it was a natural evolution for us to join forces, and fix the pain points in the client-lawyer relationship.” Says Zema.

“I am experienced in commercial litigation and enjoy the rigorous challenges that come with this area of the law, but what I also enjoy is that client contact you get when facing the challenges.

“I find working with start-ups and entrepreneurs thoroughly rewarding; to establish sound governance from the beginning, and to assist in strategies that can help their business flourish. I want to partner with my clients and have a shared purpose.” Said Zema.

Purpose Law are officially open for business Monday 5th October and are located at 17/31 Queen Street, Melbourne, Victoria.

With a new approach and years of experience, they are a firm to watch in the coming years.
